challenges of an unconventional space
this production was performed in a 20’x30’ black box theatre that was also used as a classroom during the day, meaning we needed to be able to somehow store the set at the back of the room, not extending more than 4’-0” from the back wall, as per department standards. this led to the challenge of creating a set that could meet the demands of a large musical and cast of 10 people, while also being able to be broken down and stored every night, but still safe for everyone involved.
